FBN Withdrawal
Any registrant who is a general partner in a partnership that is or has been regularly transacting business
under a fictitious business name may, upon withdrawing as a general partner, file a statement of withdrawal from the partnership
operating under a fictitious business name. The statement of withdrawal shall be executed by the registrant filing the statement
in the same manner as a fictitious business name statement, excluding the requirements of subdivisions (d), (e), and (f) of
Section 17913, and shall be filed with the county clerk of the county where the partnership filed its fictitious business name
statement. (CA Business & Professions Code Sec. 17923)

Step 1
Check the status of your fictitious business name statement.
Note: The fictitious business name statement is only valid for 5 years from the date the statement was filed
with our office. If your statement is more than 5 years old, then there is no need to file a Statement of Withdrawal.
Step 2
Complete the Statement of Withdrawal Form. Be sure to complete the information on the form as stated on the statement which you are withdrawing from. If you do not have the information on the previous statement, you may verify by:

Bring or mail the completed Withdrawal statement along with the corresponding fee.
Step 4
You must publish with one newspaper from the Adjudicated Listing within 30 days from the date of filing, once a week for four consecutive weeks.
